Reflection: Shane Martin provided the reflection, reading the poem “In Place.” 

AY20-21 Tuition: The Cabinet discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the tuition revenue for the 20-21 academic year. 

CARES Act Disbursements to Date and Proposal: The Cabinet discussed the disbursement of the second half of the CARES Act funding. It is important to be judicious in applying the funds which the university has one year to spend. 

President’s Forum: On Thursday, Fr Steve will host his quarterly forum via Zoom webinar. Several members of the Cabinet will be panelists to speak briefly on topics that will be presented. There will be 30 minutes for Q & A. 

Staff Council Meeting Debrief: Michelle Clements debriefed the SUSC meeting which several Cabinet members attended. 

June 2020 Commencement Celebration Recommendations: Provost Martin outlined the number of recommendations to celebrate the graduating class including online platforms, videos and packages to graduates.  

Summer Schedules and Retreats: The Cabinet will not be having a June retreat due to COVID-19. It will discuss further the possibility of meeting later in the summer if allowed. 

Updates: The faculty Ombudsperson will now report under Natasha Martin. Scott McClellan is creating a university blog page for leaders to share brief information. Enrollment continues to receive FTIC and transfer confirmations; June 1 is the extended deadline. IT is finding an increase in phishing email scams; a cautionary email will go out to campus. UA is proposing a virtual event to update alumni and friends on the university at this time. OUC reported on receiving the new Title IX regulations which is outlined in 2033 pages. A brief survey is going out to faculty and staff regarding the FQ20 start and consideration of Saturday teaching days. Michelle Clements reported on the unemployment fraud which has impacted a significant number of SU employees.
