Disability Services

Our Mission

Disability Services (DS) partners with the University community to recognize disability as a valued aspect of diversity and to embrace access as a significant component of social justice. The DS office facilitates equal access to courses, programs, and activities through campus leadership on disability access and inclusion issues. DS supports students with disabilities as they participate fully in all aspects of university life. This is accomplished by:

  • Identifying and coordinating the implementation of appropriate accommodations in accordance with Seattle University's 'Section 504/ADA Policy and Appeal Procedure'
  • Providing academic and other support services in partnership with students, faculty, and staff
  • Educating the Seattle University community about disabilities, access, and inclusion

Disability Services, a component of Student Academic Services, offers resources and services for:

Students

  • Information on Disabilities
  • Documenting a Disability
  • Academic Adjustments for Students with a Documented Disability
  • Student Rights and Responsibilities

Faculty and Staff
