The Ignite Mentorship Program matches new first-year and transfer students with an undergraduate peer mentor during their first-year at Seattle University. Peer mentors, called Ignite Mentors, maintain the strongest perspective to coach fellow Redhawks through this transition, playing an invaluable role in supporting new students’ transition to college beyond their orientation, fostering students’ retention and persistence to graduation, and enabling a greater sense of belonging within the Redhawk community. The Ignite Mentor role is a unique opportunity to advance your leadership skills, develop new professional abilities, and make a lasting impact on others.
Are you interested in making an impact on new Redhawks? Bring Out the Leader in You! Orientation Programs is looking for caring, passionate, and SU-spirited students to be a part of the 2024 Orientation Leader (OL) team. The OL position is an exciting opportunity to build community and belonging at SU while developing transferable skills that will prepare you for future career opportunities.
Information about applying to be a 2024 Orientation Leader will be available in January 2024.
