We are excited that your student has chosen to become a Redhawk! This can be just as much of a transition for you as it is for your student.
While your student will participate in New Student Orientation you will have an opportunity to join sessions that are tuned into information and resources that are particularly helpful for families + supporters during this transition.
After your Redhawk gets settled in, you may have some more questions or need additional resources. Our Parent and Family Engagement Department will be happy to help and can be found HERE.

Seattle University Orientation Guide
SU’s Orientation Guide app is the easiest way to keep track of all upcoming sessions. By using the Guide, you have the Summer Orientation schedule and campus resources readily available on your phone or computer whenever you need them!
How do I access the Orientation Guide?
You can download the Orientation Guide app to your mobile phone by following these steps:
For detailed steps with screenshots, use our Steps to Download Our Guide App to Your Mobile Phone. You may also visit the Orientation Guide through your web browser by clicking here, however, this version primarily hosts the schedule and provides less resources.
Families and Supporters can view a public version of the Online Orientation Modules here. Some of the interactive student components have been disabled in this version. Students should log into Canvas to find the student version and to complete the end of module surveys to track their progress. Please reach out to orientation@seattleu.edu if you have any questions.
Fall Welcome will take place Saturday, September 16 – Saturday, September 23. We will have family events on Saturday, September 16, then the remaining events are designed with the purpose of meeting your students transition needs including getting involved at SU, and building meaningful connections with their fellow students. Families and supporters are welcome to plan travel arrangements for anytime after Saturday evening.
