Transfer Students

Complete Your Housing Application (if applicable)

• Transfer students are not typically required to live on campus but can apply for on-campus housing or choose to live off-campus. Housing is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis for transfer students.
• Transfer students who are a first year or sophomores (students with fewer than 90 quarter credits completed prior to enrollment at Seattle U) and under age 21 or have graduated high school within the past two years and are under age 21 are required to live on campus.
• Check out the Guide to Applying for Housing 2021-2022 to answer any questions you may have.

Upload Your Immunization Records

• College is the time for new and educational experiences, but don't let a vaccine-preventable disease be one of them. In addition to the measles immunity and COVID vaccine requirements, we recommend Seattle University students stay up-to-date with several other important immunizations. Submit your COVID vaccine record here and other immunization records by clicking here. Students can submit their immunizations one week after they have registered for classes. 

Review and Choose a Health Insurance Option

• All students are required to have health insurance. Seattle U offers access to a third-party student health insurance policy, but if you would prefer to continue on a current policy, you may do so. Review the policy information here and either do nothing to automatically enroll in the Seattle U policy or complete a waiver to register your choice to use another policy. Complete a waiver here and submit it by April 1st. You can review the AETNA insurance and submit an Insurance Waiver in mid-November.

Upload Your Seattle U ID Card Photo

• Choose and upload your Seattle U ID card photo to have it ready for you in March. For those living on campus, please be sure to do this to make the move-in process easier. Check your Seattle U email in early March for a personalized invitation link to upload your photo. Learn more here.

Complete 'Voices for Change' Online Learning

• You will receive an email from an address called "Get Inclusive" on or after February 11th with instructions on how to access your learning modules. Topics include inclusion on campus, alcohol and other drugs, bystander behavior, and more. The modules are required of all new students. Assigned learning must be completed by March 27th.

Course Preferences Form

• The Course Preferences Form is designed to gather information to aid your transfer academic advisor in choosing your first quarter schedule. Your advisor will use the information provided to create your course schedule which you will receive at your New Student Advising Appointment. Completing your preference form and signing up for an advising appointment as early as possible will assist our advisors in matching your classes to your schedule. Complete the Course Preferences form by clicking here (you will be prompted to login to your Application Portal). 

Academic Advising Appointment (Begining in late February)

• Schedule an academic advising appointment after February 22, 2022 to review and receive your first quarter schedule. Your academic advisor will register you for classes based off of information you provide in your Course Preferences Form. Request Accommodations for a Disability (if applicable)

• If you have had an accommodation for a disability previously or have any questions about accommodations, please contact Disability Services. Newly admitted SU students are advised to start this process once they have confirmed admission to SU.
