Chris Van Liew provided the reflection.

ACE Conference Debrief:  Cabinet members who attended the annual American Council on Education conference debriefed their takeaways from the meeting. The continual theme throughout the sessions seemed to focus on student success and the integration of the academic and co-curricular student experiences. Attendees felt the direction of the work at Seattle U was validated based on similar work of other higher education institutions.

FY20 Budget Process: The Cabinet was updated on the work of the budget subcommittee and how the university might be more strategic in the FY20 budget process as new funding requests and reallocations are considered.

IT Work: Chris Van Liew updated the Cabinet on two significant IT work related projects. The first is the demarc relocation of phone lines which will be done in three phases throughout the month of April. The second project is the data center generator connection change that will likely happen over the Memorial Day weekend. This work is needed as the CSI project gets underway later this spring. A communication plan to campus is being finalized.
