Living at Seattle University means being part of a dynamic community in which diversity is welcomed, leadership is encouraged, respect is required and learning is paramount. The many programs and services we provide are designed to support the physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic needs of each and every resident. In addition to the conveniences listed throughout this section, contract rates also include Internet access (wired and wireless), cable TV, and all utilities. For more details on what each housing option offers, see our Residences.
All rooms in the traditional residence halls have one twin XL bed, wardrobe, desk and chair per student in the living space. There is also a sink and mirror in the room along with a microwave/mini-refrigerator combination. Each individual residence hall may have other amenities that are listed on the specific building page in the Residences section.
It costs $1.25 to wash and $1.00 to dry. Although most residents add money to their Seattle University ID for laundry service, a few coin operated machines are available. To add money to your SU Campus Card follow the instructions for managing your eAccount.
Bellarmine, Campion, and Xavier Hall offer Education Centers that provide convenient spaces for students to study throughout the academic year. These comfortable spaces are reserved primarily for student study and are conducive to both individual study and group work. In addition, select academic programs and services are presented in the Education Centers during each quarter.
Each Residence Hall is equipped with computer workstations so residents may access the wide range of digital resources on campus. On-campus Information and Technology Services (ITS) provides the people, services, resources and tools to keep you connected to the University's computer network resources and the Internet.
Cable is provided in the lobby and floor lounges in on-campus residences.
