There is a two year on-campus living requirement for all Seattle University students, for more information see the University Housing Policy.
In order to assist students who are searching for off-campus apartments we will be hosting some Off-Campus Housing Workshops as well as an Off-Campus Housing Fair.
Off-Campus Housing Workshops
There will be Off-Campus Housing Workshops hosted by one of Housing's Assistant Directors, Sue Ann Huang. The workshops will present information regarding finding off-campus housing and give students the opportunity to ask questions to others who have gone through the process of finding off-campus housing before. The dates for these workshops are as follows:
Off-Campus Housing Fair
The Off-Campus Housing Fair provides a space for students to talk with some property managers and landlords about some potential housing options. A list of apartments near campus that students can contact can be found here: Off Campus Apartments List (Updated 4/10/2018)
The Off-Campus Housing Fair will take place on Monday, April 16 in Student Center 130 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. RSVP here.
Seattle University has also partnered with Places4Students.com, a company that specializes in providing Off-Campus Housing solutions for post-secondary students. This service is free for all students to use as an effective method of finding a place to live off-campus or finding a roommate. Students need not register to search listings. Landlords can list properties at very competitive rates (less than most other mediums of advertising).
Housing & Residence Life does not endorse any landlord, management company, or individual who lists with the Places4Students. Instead, we provide a venue for such listings through a landlord registration program, and a location for the University community to seek out available off-campus housing in the Seattle area.
Neither Seattle University nor Housing & Residence Life guarantees in any manner the service or quality of service offered by listed landlord, management companies, or individuals. Students, parents, and other members of the University and Seattle community are under no obligation to utilize the Off-Campus Housing services or to rent from companies or individuals listed with the Housing & Residence Life Office.
