Overview

With the increasing number of student surveys on campus, students can become overburdened and experience “survey fatigue.”  To optimize the quality of the survey, minimize survey fatigue, and maximize response rates, Institutional Research maintains a calendar of large student surveys on campus to avoid administering overlapping surveys.  Finals week should also be avoided as students are less likely to respond during this time.

Faculty and staff may request consultation for:

  • Survey design
  • Online survey administration
  • Data Analysis
  • Targeting population groups

If you would like to collaborate on the best time to distribute your survey or request that your survey be added to the survey calendar, please contact Institutional Research at IR@seattleu.edu.

Survey Guidelines

  • To minimize survey fatigue, survey administration plans may need to be adjusted to avoid overlapping with other survey efforts.
  • A survey targeted to more than XXXX current students requires approval from XXXX.
