Option 1, Non-Lift ORCA

If you do not qualify for ORCA LIFT, you may purchase an Orca card at Public Safety during the sales session at the beginning of each academic term (quarter or semester).

Students are eligible for only one Seattle University sponsored parking or subsidized transportation product at a time. Public Safety can not provide a subsidized transportation product (LIFT subsidy, or Puget Pass, or Ferry Pass) and a term-length parking permit to the same student in the same term.

Steps to obtaining a Non-Lift ORCA card

  1. Research the fare value you'll need, the ORCA cards sold are for a specific fare value for Puget Passes. Ferry Passes are for walk on passengers for a specific ferry route
  2. Visit Public Safety during business hours (Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm) during the sales sessions at the beginning of each academic term to purchase the ORCA card before the deadline
  3. Please bring with a form of identification (SU ID card is preferred)
  4. Payment accepted is Visa and Mastercard.
