Through university restructuring, Transportation and Parking Services has been moved from Public Safety to Facilities & Campus Services. Transportation is still located in the Public Safety office until moving to a new office location at a future date. Vehicle Rental Information

Seattle University Public Safety and Transportation supports our campus community with vans that can be rented once a student or employee has completed the steps to become a university authorized driver.  All vehicle rentals are paid via department budget.  The university has a limited number of vans that can be rented on a first come first serve basis which are rented through the Public Safety and Transportation office, in support of academic and student programs. When community demand exceeds our van resources, we have partnered with Enterprise Rent-a-Car to coordinate additional rental vehicles. Vehicles rented from Enterprise will have to be picked up and dropped off at the Enterprise office off campus.

All rental vehicles for university-related programming and events will book reservations through the online EMS system. If you have any questions, please contact us at vanrental@seattleu.edu. E-mails are addressed during business hours Monday-Friday. 

If your vehicle rental will be processed through Enterprise, the SU Transportation office will complete the reservation with Enterprise and send you a confirmation. To pick up the Enterprise reserved vehicle, the confirmed authorized driver will need to go to the Enterprise Capitol Hill office located at 1605 Boylston Ave. Seattle (Just North of Boylston and Pine St. by the Seattle Central parking garage). The Enterprise office is open Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM to pick up and drop off vehicles. 

Rental vans may be reserved by current students, faculty, and staff for university business and activities. Other vehicles such as minivans, SUV's and passenger cars may be rented from Enterprise as needed.  Departments will be billed the cost of the rental including any additional fees incurred. 

All drivers must be authorized as a driver through Public Safety and Transportation.  Driver Authorization must be renewed every year.

* The safety of the Seattle University community members is of the utmost importance.  University vehicle use will be restricted in hazardous weather conditions or if the vehicle will be traveling through an area that is forecast with hazardous conditions. Public Safety will make every effort to provide advance notification if a vehicle reservation will need to be canceled.
