How to Seek Office 

We're glad you're considering launching a campaign to join SGSU. Seeking a position within student government is straightforward and easy! Follow the steps below to get your name on the ballot: 

  1. Pickup the signature packet (from Student Center 360) to declare candidacy
  2. Complete the online declaration form
  3. Attend 1 of 2 Candidate Information Sessions
  4. Campaign and attend at least 1 election event

Deadlines and Dates

Steps 1 and 2: Turn in signature packet and declaration form 

  • Signatures must be gathered and your Candidate Declaration form must be completed by Wednesday, April 13th by 5:00PM (EXTENDED TO FRIDAY, APRIL 15TH BY 5:OOPM!) 

Step 3: attend one of two Information Sessions

  • Info Session 1: Thursday, April 14th, 12:30 - 1:30 PM, Location TBA
  • Info Session 2: Saturday April 16th, 11 AM - 12 PM, Location TBA

Step 4: Attend at least one election event

  • Events TBA
