Hello everyone! My name is Sarah, and I was born and raised in Northern Illinois. I received my BA at Illinois Wesleyan University and taught high school Spanish and coached volleyball for 2 years before deciding to continue my education at Seattle U. During my time at IWU, I gained the passion for student development through my role as an RA and being a part of a teacher education program committed to social justice. While I loved teaching, I felt called to search for an MEd program that focused on supporting historically excluded students, and am so happy to have landed at SU. When I am not working, I like to explore new restaurants in the city or play Animal Crossing and other Switch games. I also enjoy great city views, watching/playing sports, and running a dog-sitting business with my partner. I LOVE to travel and learn about new countries and cultures!
