The Seattle University Veteran’s Community's (SUVC) mission is to serve and of support all student-veterans and members of military families.
SUVC’s vision is to develop and implement student programming, both social and educational, and recognize that student-veterans have unique needs and interests that differ from those of traditional students.

Samadah Shabazz is a Freshman at Seattle University, originally from Sneads Ferry, NC. She is pursuing a marketing degree with a entrepreneurship focus. From serving in the Marines, as a search and rescue pilot for 12 years to currently flying search and rescue for hospitals, her dad is superhero. As secretary of Seattle University Veteran’s Community, her goal is to work with the SUVC team to keep student veterans informed about all services, latest updates, and on/off campus events that pertain to the SU Veteran Community.

Drew Shapiro is a student at Seattle University's School of Law. Drew spent most of his two Air Force enlistments stationed at JBLM, where he ended his career as an instructor loadmaster with more than 1700 hours on the C-17 Globemaster III. As an enlisted aviator, Drew earned an Air Medal and an Aerial Achievement Medal for his actions on what he calls a few “really bad days.” In his flying career, he completed more than 300 OIF/OEF combat missions. Drew also worked as a NATO liaison, project manager, armorer, and even volunteered for a force protection deployment. In 2011, Drew left the USAF to attend Syracuse University where he double-majored in Photojournalism and Middle Eastern Studies. Drew is active on campus at Seattle U, where he is the treasurer of the Veteran's Law Society and member of Phi Alpha Delta.
Zachary Lambe grew up in Salisbury, NC. He spent 5 years, in the United States Marine Corps, as a Data network specialist, configuring servers and routers for his unit. During his time in service he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Currently Zachary is pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Criminal Justice/Forensic Psychology at Seattle University. He currently working in the Office of Registrar in order to assist veterans and the veteran community in continuing their education.
