Advent is a season of the liturgical year observed by most Christians as a time of expectant waiting and preparation. It calls us to prepare our hearts and our minds in such a way that the mystery and the beauty of the incarnation can live within us and manifest among us. Divine love is all inclusive and during the season we are invited to open ourselves in such a way to encounter Christ in particular in unexpected people and in unexpected places.

It is a time to breathe, move deeply inside and embrace what it is that we truly desire and hope for one step at a time - we are called to give birth to new ways of being in our world, to creatively exercise our imagination as we find ourselves in new contexts and new challenges and create space for more inclusive communities and opportunities to accompany one another on the journey. May we continue to hold one another in prayer as we courageously embody a more just and hope-filled future.

In gratitude,
Dr. Jeanette Rodriguez, ICTC Director
