Key Recommendations from the Strategy Roadmap

November 28, 2022

The discovery and strategy phase for the website redesign have recently concluded. Thank you to those who took part in the first phase of this 12- to 14-month project that began in early September including completion of the website redesign survey.

We are now in the content strategy and information architecture phase. This is a several-month process.

Project goals and summary of key recommendations from the strategy roadmap:

Redesign project goals

  • Organize content in an efficient and logical way, sitewide and on program pages.
  • Create a site that targets prospective undergraduate and graduate students and their families.
  • Create a site that highlights Seattle University’s brand strengths, qualities and values.
  • Evaluate and provide governance recommendations for site maintenance.

Strategy roadmap recommendations

  • Present the culture of Seattle University in a unified voice, from academic experience to location to mission.
  • Illustrate the diversity within that unified vision through imagery, storytelling and testimonials.
  • Prioritize program exploration through improved program finding, consistent detailed information and clear pathways to apply and understand cost and aid.
  • Implement a strategic governance and digital communications plan to maintain site health and reinforce the website’s role as Seattle University brand platform.
  • Build a user-centric information architecture, with clear pathways for primary journeys and hierarchies aligned to user priorities.
