Outstanding Service and Institution Building Full-Time Term Faculty

Stacey Jones, Albers School of Business and Economics

In addition to ongoing engagement at all levels of university service, Professor Jones has enhanced the visibility and prestige of the university through innovative academic service learning projects, her involvement with the efforts to obtain a Phi Beta Kappa chapter at Seattle University, and  a series of leadership positions in the Omicron Delta Epsilon International Economics Honor Society, including Chair of the Board of Trustees which counts among its members, Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen, several Nobel Laureates, and other prominent economists. Professor Jones regularly engages students as research assistants or as co-authors, providing valuable professional development and academic experiences. Moreover, Professor Jones has been a leader in the Albers School’s efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. From 2017 to 2021, she co-chaired the Albers Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force with Professor Holly Ferraro. Professors Jones and Ferraro proposed the Albers Anti-Racist Curriculum Program as a way to incorporate race and anti-racism into the curriculum.
