Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement CEIE Webinars

The Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement (CEIE) Webinars are under 90 minutes long, highlight an author and a topic, provide a moderator, and sometimes a panel.  Webinars are modeled after one of the four forms of dialogue, these being: life, action, religious experience, and exchange (see below for more information). 

Webinars also include a moderated question and response section.   

CEIE webinars respect and explore multiple perspectives in the spirit of An Ecumenical Prayer, offered by Pope Francis, which he delivered at Assisi at the tomb of Saint Francis, on October 3, 2020.  Reflecting on our shared humanity, the prayer reads in part:  

• Dialogue of life – In which people of different faiths and spiritual traditions strive to live in an open and neighborly spirit – includes socializing and hospitality 
   
• Dialogue of action – In which people of spiritual commitment and faith collaborate with others in 
  building a just society – includes service and working for justice 
   
• Dialogue of religious experience – In which people steeped in their spiritual traditions share their ways of searching for God or the Absolute – includes prayer, worship, celebration 
   
• Dialogue of theological exchange – In which specialists seek to deepen their understanding of other spiritual heritages
