On Thursday, May 26th, 2022, Rev. Dr. Scott Stearman, who represents the Baptist World Alliance to the United Nations, shared about how the invasion of Ukraine stresses food insecurity, access to international funding programs, and sustained advocacy across the world.
Dr. Stearman is active in civil societies advocacy at the High-Level Political Forum around the UN’s Agenda 2030. In his presentation, he discusses the unequal media attention that other crises have received - from Burma/Myanmar to Palestine - and asks after the question of race as a motivating factor.
