Dr. Stella Gran-O'Donnell's abstract, Narratives of Wellbeing through an Indigenous Lens: Examining Filipino Youths’ Belonging and Connection to Places in Hawai’i, based on her dissertation, was accepted for and presented at the 2017 Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) 21^st Annual Conference held in New Orleans, LA. from Jan. 11 – 15, 2017. Ensure the Healthy Development of All Youth was the theme for this year’s conference.  The Society for Social Work and Research is a free standing international organization dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of social work research. SSWR partners with a number of organizations committed to improving support for social work researchers. Its vision is to advance, disseminate, and translate research that addresses issues of social work policy and practice and promote a diverse, just, and equitable society. Membership includes over 1300 researchers from across the U.S. as well as from countries including: Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Trinidad and the United Kingdom.
