Seattle University Staff Council nominations are now open!
During the nominations period (Tuesday, April 27-Friday, May 7), the campus community is encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague to run for a seat on the Staff Council. Within the nomination, candidates will be asked to submit a brief statement of interest and photo for the voter’s pamphlet. Submit a nomination here.
The seats up for election for the term July 1, 2021-June 30, 2023 are as follows:
- Academic area: 2 exempt and 1 non-exempt
- Student Focus area: 1 exempt, 1 non-exempt
- Structural area: 1 exempt, 1 non-exempt
- At-large members: 2 will be appointed, allowing the council to best represent diverse and underrepresented voices.
In order to continue the success Staff Council has seen, we need a robust collection of nomination across all staff areas. Please consider nominating yourself or a colleague for Staff Council.
For more information, about the nomination and election process, the recording of the Election Forum held on April 27th can be found here.
Please feel free to reach out to any staff council member with questions.
