Description: CampusCup is a campaign run by All Matters to make periods on college campuses more sustainable. Starting 09/27 until 10/10, SU students can sign up to receive a FREE menstrual cup at
 bit.ly/SUcampuscup. All members of the Seattle U community can use a 20% discount code to purchase an OrganiCup with the code CAMPUS20. CEJS is partnering with OMA, Health and Wellness Promotion, CSI, the Outreach Center, Facilities, and student club PERIOD to promote sustainable menstrual cups. For more information about Seattle U's CampusCup visit the CEJS webpage .

Food Justice Week: Celebrity Chef Jet Tila at SU

When: October 26th
Where: C-Street
11:00am-11:45am: Panel discussion about Food Justice with Ivy Kusler (Chartwells Regional Vice President), Dr. Alvin Sturdivant (VP of Student Development), Karina Saunders (Assistant Director for Office of Multicultural Affairs) and a Student Government representative.
11:45am-12:15 pm: Food Pantry Cook-off. Four Redhawk Dining Chefs will create a meal using ingredients found in our SU Pantry and the panel + audience participants will judge the food and answer questions about how they see food justice in their work, lives, and community! 

 

Food Justice Week: Let's Get to Work! Food Justice Advocacy at SU

When: October 29th, 12:00PM-1:00PM
Where: The Convergence Zone in SINE (Floor 1)
Description: What can we do to make Food Justice a priority at SU? How might we take action to ensure our campus is food secure, sustainable, and caring for others? We want to hear from YOU! Bring “food for thought” to an informal conversation with students and SU community members, including Yolanda Cieters (Center for Environmental Justice and Sustainability) and Karina Saunders (Office of Multicultural Affairs). Bring your lunch or grab something at the new plant-based cafe! Looking forward to a conversation about what we've done, where we are, and what we can imagine at SU!

  

Fossil Free Climate March

When: October 29
Where: Meet at Pier 62 Waterfront
Description: Join other youth climate advocates at a climate march in Seattle. The march and series of actions is part of a youth-led Global Day of Action to call out the funders of the climate crisis. Here in Seattle, we’ll be marching to the front doors of the largest climate polluters to demand action. The march will start at Pier 62 on the Waterfront and head to JPMorgan Chase’s PNW HQ, Liberty Mutual’s regional HQ, and City Hall.
