Content Freeze Approaches

Posted: June 20, 2023

As you may have heard, a content freeze will be implemented starting June 30 on the main university website seattleu.edu.

What you need to know:

  • A content freeze means that editors cannot log in to the Terminalfour Content Management System to add new content to our site. During this time, the university web team will maintain all content. The content freeze will remain in place until after the launch of the new website.
  • If an update needs to be made to a webpage during the freeze, editors will have access to a content request form to submit updates directly to the web team. The web team will be ready to support and post content needs that impact prospective or incoming students or are imperative to university business.

The web team appreciates your assistance with the content freeze, which is an important part of the web redesign project as we work to make technical changes to the CMS, install a new governance system and build an intranet. From a content perspective, it may seem like a long time, but for the web team, this freeze is critical for the changes to come.
