Content Guidelines

Updated November 16, 2023

As we draw closer to the new website launch, we want to share the best ways of getting your content updated. Over the last few months, the web team along with a small group of editors from functional areas across campus have been updating the website daily. University business and student facing content are supported and updated with timely information. Until the new website launches,  we will continue to support and make changes to the existing website as needed.

Since June, we’ve resolved 782 ticket requests by making content changes and additions to our website. The web content team will continue to make changes for those who submit a request to the All Web Content Update Requests form. We’ve also hired additional student workers to ensure our response time is faster than ever. If you want additional support making a change on our website, or have any additional questions, you can email us at web@seattleu.edu.

Throughout this project phase, the web team has granted access to a small group of editors from across campus with the rights to maintain and update their content. This group originally covered Admissions, The Registrar, Financial Aid, Public Safety, Library and IT. The web team has gradually expanded this group as it prepares for launch and content migration. Currently editors from the Colleges, many of our Centers and Institutes, as well as other functional areas like Student Government, Student Development, Giving, Advising, ODI, The MOSAIC Center and Education Abroad, are able to make updates and decisions about daily content needs for their existing websites.
