Congratulations to four of our graduating students recognized for their achievements

Cullin Egge 

  • 2023 -23 President’s Award
  • Richard P. Hickey Award
  • Dr. Madeline Lovell Academic Excellence Award
  • 2023 Student Employee of the Year (Shine Award)
  • Inducted into Seattle University Chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu

Post-graduation plans: “After graduation I will be moving to Mexico for a couple years before returning for my MSW! My goal is to eventually have a job supporting Latinx immigrants in the US, either as a social worker or paralegal.”

Kiarra Woodman

  • Social Justice Award
  • Student Representative – 2022-23 SU Social Work Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
  • Received Social Work Department Honors

Post-graduation plans: “After graduating with my BSW I will be continuing my professional growth and education at my current practicum agency, the Center for Justice Social Work! I am planning on gaining some more experience for a year and then moving on to obtain a MSW.”

Katelyn Goetzinger

  • Student Representative – 2022-23 College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) Student Executive Council

Post-graduation plans: “First, take some time for myself, to rest and discern what I want to do within social work. I am also planning on getting an Advocate job for the shelter I am currently interning at. I am excited for this first step towards my career since I feel like I have some great mentors at the shelter who can help guide me along my journey within this field.”
