Learning a new language and culture is an important career skillset in many industries. Encourage your students to join this lunchtime employer panel and tabling sessions to network and learn more about future opportunities.

The purpose of this event is to demonstrate to students that acquiring proficiency in a new language and understanding different cultures is a valuable skill set in numerous industries.

The Career Engagement Office, College of Arts and Sciences and Modern Languages and Cultures are excited to have six diverse panelists participating in the discussion:

  • David Yamaguchi, Executive Director of the Japan-American Society of the State of Washington 
  • Di Han, Youth Readiness Training—Asian Counseling and Referral Services 
  • Stephanie Dib Wietstruck, Staff Attorney and Interpreter—Northwest Immigrant Rights Project 
  • Dara Yin, Diplomat in Residence—Northwest (Alaska, Oregon, Washington)- U.S. Department of State 
  • Rut Perez-Studer, Senior Manager of Fishing Vessel Services—Port of Seattle 
  • Stacy Chandler, Middle School Head at French American School of Puget Sound
