Update on Seattle’s Water Supply

Posted: January 2, 2024

With Seattle’s water supply returning to normal, Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has deactivated the Voluntary Stage of its Water Shortage Contingency Plan.

Allison Mettler of SPU writes:

“Thanks to the water-saving efforts of our customers and the recent rains, our combined reservoir water storage is at 100% of normal for this time of year. We forecast this will be sufficient to meet our winter needs.”

Customers are encouraged to continue using water wisely.

Seattle University previously encouraged the campus community to help conserve water. You can read more at Seattle’s water supply bounces back to normal.
