Open to all faculty and staff

In Phase 1 the University Core Working Group, in consultation with all Seattle University faculty and campus stakeholders, presented a revised set of UCOR curricular goals (2022-2023). These reimagined goals are now guiding the revision of the Core structure in Phase 2 (2023-2024).

Please join us as the working group:

  1. Shares feedback we have gathered to date.
  2. Introduces revised Core curriculum models under consideration.
  3. Solicits your feedback through small- and large-group discussion.

Beyond the introduction of these elements at the forum, the working group plans to offer other opportunities to provide feedback through surveys and listening sessions this term.

Your feedback is crucial to the task of reimagining our distinctive foundational education. All faculty and academic staff are welcome to join the conversation as the Core prepares students for their major coursework. The working group is particularly interested in receiving feedback from the faculty who teach in the University Core.  To supplement the group's engagement events, a feedback survey is available here.

Ahead of this event, you are invited to visit the RRC site, Reimagining in the University Core. Here you'll find links to materials from our previous forums and opportunities to provide feedback on individual elements of the revised models.
