Original Post:

The weather may be turning cold and gloomy, but one way to feel warm and fuzzy inside is to donate blood. Blood supplies in our region are extremely low currently due to a “perfect storm” of factors: phlebotomists/staff shortages, continued blood collections constraints (social distancing) due to COVID, and an alarmingly high appointment cancellation rate.

To help recoup blood supplies, Seattle University is partnering with Bloodworks Northwest to host a two-week blood donation campaign.

Sign up here to give blood at ANY conveniently located Bloodworks Northwest Donor Center (fixed site) or pop-up donor center (temporary site) between Saturday, Nov 6, and Saturday, Nov 20. When you arrive and check in to give blood, please use the donor code SEAU so the blood center can track our impact. Help reach a goal of finding 25 folks to attend over the two-week time frame. Friends and family of Seattle U students and faculty are welcome to participate too.
