While summer can be a slow season for many campus areas, it is a time that Event Sales and University Events ramp up and serve approximately 40 overnight programs.

Each week, Event Sales will send an update on the groups you can expect to see at Seattle University. In the upcoming few weeks, you may see guests around campus from the following programs:

New Programs:

  • Tech Revolution Camps/Lavner Education: weekly summer youth camps in computer coding, robotics, game design, and engineering
  • For the Strength of Youth (FSY): a program for Mormon teens from Washington State to focus on faith, fun, and improving character (about 300 visitors!)
  • Summer Business Institute: Created and operated by the Albers School of Business and Economics, this is a credit-bearing, project-based summer business camp for high school students focused on social entrepreneurship.

Continuing Programs:

  • AI for Equity: a Seattle University program for high school students interested in criminal law and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide positive early college experiences.
  • York-Benimaru Program Group: an English language and American culture camp for youth visiting from Japan.
  • Upward Bound: a summer-long academic program that helps locals kids prepare for college.
  • City University Summer in Seattle: an English language and American culture camp for college students visiting from Mexico.
  • Intern housing: living accommodations for students at universities from all over the US who are participants in internship programs in the Seattle area; many of these students will be staying all summer.
