Philanthro-Fest
In an effort to educate students, faculty and staff about the importance of giving back, the Seattle University Alumni Association is hosting the very first “Philanthro-FEST.” The series of events, which take place the week of Oct. 9, will cover the many ways we can support our communities, not just financially but with time, talents and resources.

  • Monday, Oct. 9: Blood Drive – 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Bellarmine Turnaround. In partnership with Bloodworks NW, Family Law Society, Health Law Society and the College of Nursing. You can sign up for a slot here: Donor Portal (bloodworksnw.org).

  • Tuesday, Oct. 10: Philanthropy with SGSU – 11 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Student Center food court. Trivia games and donor recognition: Write a thank you postcard or film a video to be entered to win a $100 gift card to the Campus Store! Scavenger hunt—QR Codes will be handed out at this event. All those who complete it will be entered to win a Nintendo Switch (drawing on Friday, Oct. 13).

  • Thursday, Oct. 12: Skip-a-Sip & Volunteer Fair – 9 a.m.–noon at the Library Plaza. Skip your morning Starbucks! Stop by our tent to learn about philanthropy on campus and grab your SU camp mug to fill up at our coffee station. 11 a.m.–1 p.m. Learn more about volunteer opportunities in the community from local nonprofit organizations.
