Dear Campus Community,

The Center for Jesuit Education is excited to announce the revival of Women in Mission and the launch of its affinity space, Women of Color in Mission

Founded in 2009, Women in Mission (WIM) is the umbrella community for staff and faculty women from all racial/ethnic backgrounds and across units/disciplines at Seattle University to come together regularly for prayer, reflection, volunteer service and community-building.

Launching fully this year is Women of Color in Mission (WOCIM), an affinity space within Women in Mission specifically for staff and faculty who self-identify as women of color with one or more minoritized racial identities at Seattle University. Women of Color in Mission is considered part of the Women in Mission community.

These are meant to be welcoming and supportive communities for women new to or familiar with Women in Mission.   We invite you to join us for one or both of the following Fall events:

The Women in Mission Advisory Team of the Center for Jesuit Education invites you to join a supportive community of staff and faculty to pause and be nourished in community with other women across campus. Inspired by presenter Catherine Punsalan-Manlimos, Ph.D. (Vice President for Mission Integration), we will reflect on the unique gifts of women leading in an Ignatian way, and on what keeps us grounded as we try to live out the mission at Seattle University.

An online option will be available for those who would like to listen in on Zoom. Online participants will not be able to ask questions or be in small groups.  Please indicate your desire for this online option on this information and registration form.  An Outlook calendar invite with Zoom link will follow.
