Info session #2: Thursday, Feb. 15, 12:30 p.m., via Zoom (Meeting ID 836 151 9387)

Grounded in the concept of community development in which community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common challenges, these immersions offer insight into communities’ work toward migration justice in Nogales, Mexico, and Tijuana, Mexico. The 24SQ 1-3 variable credit courses meet every other week in spring quarter to build the context to accept the communities’ invitations to learn and work with them.

The Nogales, Mexico immersion with Kino Border Initiative is $900 plus airfare and is scheduled for Sept. 4–13, 2024. The Tijuana, Mexico immersion with Fundación Esperanza de Mexico is $1,000 plus airfare and is scheduled for June 16–22, 2024. Most of the program fee is a donation to support the organizations’ work.
