“I Will Live Until I Die” – A Musical of the Life of Sr. Thea Bowman

  • Performances will begin with a gospel concert at 7 p.m.; the musical will start at 8 p.m. 
  • All performances are at the former St. Patrick’s Church (815 E. Edgar St., Seattle)

Starring playwright ValLimar Jansen along with local actors, this musical tells the story of Sr. Thea Bowman. The granddaughter of slaves, she was the only African American member of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, and she transcended racism to leave a lasting mark on U.S. Catholic life in the late 20th century. Tickets: $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors (under 18 or over 60), or $60 for a family ticket (entry for an entire families of 4+). Children five and under are free!
