Educational Series on Israel-Hamas War Continues

This educational series continues, recognizing the way that the consequences of the war in Gaza ripple around the world. The series organizers, experts in the region’s history and contemporary political landscape and in Judaism and Islam, have carefully curated a set of panels and teach-ins to meet the learning needs of our campus community. Each of the events was developed in response to questions we have received from students, faculty and staff.

The College of Arts and Sciences invites you to learn more about the region’s history and how that history plays a role in shaping the everyday lived experiences of Israelis and Palestinians, including those living in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The series will conclude with two conversations that look past the current crisis toward a more hopeful future.

Panels showcase the expertise of visiting scholars. Each panel features experts representing Israeli and Palestinian perspectives on the conflict.

Teach-ins, led by SU faculty and Seattle-based educators, provide a supportive academic environment for studying topics related to the Israel-Hamas War.

Details about each event, including speakers and descriptions, are available here (requires your regular SU login credentials).

These events are open only to Seattle University students, faculty and staff. SU ID will be checked at the door.
