CCE Receives Contract to Support Washington Middle School Students

Funded by the City of Seattle's Families, Education, Pre-School and Promise Levy, Seattle University has been awarded a $25,000 contract to provide academic support to Washington Middle School students.
As part of the Seattle University Youth Initiative, a long-term campus community effort to create a pipeline of academic support for low-income youth living in the Bailey Gatzert School attendance zone, each quarter over 30 Seattle University students will provide targeted academic support during the school day and in the after-school programs. The type of academic services provided will vary from one-to-one academic mentoring to helping small groups, to classroom assistance and family engagement.
