Looking to discard unwanted or expired prescription medications and shred documents you no longer need? The Department of Public Safety is working with the Seattle Police Department to host DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and a Shredathon at three drop-off/drive-thru locations including SU.

Shredding requirements:

  • Limit of three bags/boxes per vehicle.
  • Box size requirements: 10 L x 12 W x 15 H or smaller.
  • Plastic Items such as credit cards, notebooks and compact disks CANNOT be accepted.
  • Documents should be free of paper clips and other metal (staples do not need to be removed).

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will dispose of the unwanted medications. Iron Mountain Shredding is generously donating their shredding services. Canned and dry goods will also be accepted to benefit the local community.
