Kara Markell, DMin 2019.

I work primarily as a congregational pastor in a progressive Christian church, where I get to do a little bit of everything from worship to formation to youth ministry.  I also serve our region as a mentor for a group of pastors in their first 5 years of ministry. My primary theological interests are in ecclesiology and adaptive change, and my personal spiritual journey is deeply formed by Celtic Christian and eco-spiritual theologies. I understand my vocation as midwife to what the Spirit is birthing in the world, a pastoral identity formed at STM.  STM has helped to form me into a deeply ecumenical (and interspiritual) leader, grounded in academic pursuits and spiritual practices.
