Megan Anderson, M.A.

Current Hometown and Indigenous Land: Claremont, CA, home of the Tongva-Gabrielino tribe. 

Megan Anderson (she/her) has a background in mathematics and theology. She received her M.A. from Claremont School of Theology in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in religion, society, and social change, and a B.A. in Mathematics and Theology, with a minor in Psychology, from the College of St. Benedict. In addition to her work as Creative Resources Designer for the Center of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, she is also the Director of Admin & Workforce Development Project Manager at CHERP, Inc., a nonprofit working to address environmental justice, local economic revitalization, job creation, and greenhouse gas mitigation. Megan also serves as the editor for The Interfaith Observer (TIO). When she isn’t working, Megan enjoys being out in nature, taking walks, dancing, playing DnD, and hanging out with her partner Jose and five birds Sage Peach, Clove, Canela, and Tito.

Appreciation from Director: 

Megan Anderson brings a much-in-demand skillset of theology, environmental justice, organizing curriculum, and educational design, to her work supporting the Center’s engagement locally and globally. Megan’s efforts on the Faith for Earth Guide raised up the ways we collaborate with our partner organizations, our Advisory Council, and other local leaders and clergy. In addition, Megan brought our core team together to co-create the contents of the Guide in a way where all team members feel invested and seen. I am so grateful to Megan and look forward to her joyful leadership on our next resource!
