Meet the Mentors!

Meet the Mentors!

Our CLP Peer Mentors work hard to create an impactful experience for students. They help plan meetings, lead discussions, and set up fun and engaging activities to help incoming students adjust to their life at Seattle University. Peer mentors provide support to incoming students through words of advice, answering questions, and spreading information about campus events.

Alex is a second-year interdisciplinary liberal studies major from Honolulu, Hawai’i. OMA has played a large part in their college experience thus far, and they wanted to be a CLP mentor because of their own experience in CLP during their first year at Seattle University. She enjoys all kinds of art, going to the gym, listening to music, making and being with friends. and going new places. She’s excited to engage with incoming students and be able to create a place where they feel that they belong in the Seattle U community.

Brittney is a second year double major in Spanish and Sociology. She is originally from Seattle, WA and raised by parents from Oaxaca, Mexico. As a first gen Mexican student, CLP helped her have a smooth transition to SU. She was able to meet wonderful people and build a community before she began her first year. She treasures the time she spends with family and friends. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, doing arts and crafts, participating in traditional dance from Oaxaca, and listening to music.
