About Our Office

Through collaborating with campus partners, we work to identify and remove institutional barriers to empower students to attain their educational goals, complete their degree, and maximize their personal and professional development. We believe persistence at Seattle University happens as a team and we hope students will feel welcome to connect with us before, during, and after their time at Seattle University.

We can support students with: Academic Concerns, Scholarship Research, Financial Wellness, Resource Referrals, College Navigation, Connecting to Community and more.

Do you need some extra support? Want someone to check in with? Bring your questions, confusions, challenges and celebrations to this meeting.

We can help you make a plan, find a solution and get connected to the right person, office, or community space. We provide information and referrals to different resources and services at Seattle U and beyond.

Are you struggling in class? Need support reaching out to a professor? Wondering why you have a hold on your account for registration? Something else related to your academic success?

We support students with their academic success by connecting them to learning and advising resources, and building advocacy skills.

*Please note that the Office of Student Persistence does not have any separate scholarship, grant or independent funding available for students.*

Are you interested in learning more about scholarship opportunities? Do you need help researching scholarships, writing essays and navigating the application process?  Do you want to improve your financial literacy, understand Financial Aid Awards and reduce loans and debt?

We provide guidance throughout the scholarship application process by helping students identify and apply to multiple scholarships. We also provide financial wellness resources and help increase financial skills and knowledge.
