Connection Through Crisis: Wellness Resources for Caring for Yourself and Others

April 24, 2020

Dear Seattle U Students,

Wellness and Health Promotion is here to offer support and connection through throughout the COVID-19 crisis. We understand that being in community with each other is at the heart of the Jesuit educational experience. In these difficult times, it can feel as though we are less connected to each other, but now is the ideal time to create and care for our community in ways that we had not previously considered. To learn more, I invite you to watch my “Wellness & Health Promotion During COVID-19” video and check out a newsletter we wrote for you, “Connection through Crisis: Wellness Resources for Caring for Yourself & Others.”

In this newsletter, you will find out about resources being offered through Wellness and Health Promotion and many of our campus partners, as well as information about how to care for vulnerable populations including our friends and relatives who are over 60, those who are immunocompromised and those who are living with significant mental health concerns. In addition to the resources in our newsletter, we provide resources regularly through Instagram @wellnessatSeattleU and through our ConnectSU page.

We know this quarter presents unique challenges for all of us. We know you didn’t sign up for this; none of us did. You are strong, we are resilient and we will get through this together.

Yours in Community,

Chris Fiorello
Director, Wellness and Health Promotion
