You can schedule exams in myDS if you have been approved for Alternative Testing by the Disability Services Office AND you have notified your Professor of this accommodation through the emailed Faculty Notification Letter. It is recommended that you send your letter at the beginning of the quarter.
Notifying your Professor of this accommodation does not obligate you to test in the Testing Center on any given testing date. However, if you do wish to test in the Testing Center, you must follow the scheduling protocol.
You are expected to schedule quizzes, exams and finals for the same time as the students are testing in the classroom. Exceptions ONLY apply when your extended testing time overlaps with your classes OR testing in the classroom occurs outside Testing Services hours. If you are taking evening or weekend classes, please reach out to your Professor and Testing Services to plan for accommodated testing.
You must schedule your exams in myDS at least three (3) business days before quizzes and exams or ten (10) business days for finals. If you complete a late test request, your space is not guaranteed.
In case of inclement weather or other emergency, please see the Seattle University home page or the Public Safety Inclement Weather page. Information regarding closures may change and will be updated as often as possible.
If you’ve scheduled an exam and realize that you have scheduled the wrong date, time, or if your Professor has changed the date/time of the exam, you can reschedule the exam through myDS.
