Degree Posting and Diplomas
Students are not considered officially graduated until the Office of the Registrar verifies that all university and degree requirements have been met. Degrees for students who finished their program requirements in Spring 2025 were posted on June 25, 2025.
-
Allow 4-6 weeks after degree posting for your printed diploma to be delivered via regular USPS mail.
-
No tracking information is available for diplomas.
-
Your electronic diploma will be emailed to your Seattle University account about 2-4 weeks after degree posting.
-
Account holds (financial, parking, and library) must be resolved in order to receive your diploma.
If you need proof that you earned your degree before you receive either version of your diploma, please order an official transcript.
Ordering Official Transcripts
If you plan to apply for jobs or graduate school, you may need to order official transcripts to provide to them. An official transcript will state the following:
-
The terms and term dates you attended Seattle University
-
Each class and the number of credits you were enrolled in for each term
-
Name
-
Date of birth
-
Degree
-
Date degree was conferred (if earned)
You can read more about official transcripts and find the link to order on our website.
If you completed your program requirements in Spring 2025 and ordered a transcript before your degree was posted on June 25, your degree will not show on your transcript.
We strongly advise you send official transcripts directly to the requesting institution. Official printed transcripts are no longer considered official once opened. Official electronic transcripts are no longer considered official once downloaded and will display “copy” if forwarded.
