Join our Global Business Program to develop the skills you need to pursue a career with global firms. We prepare you for the impact of global competition and how to operate effectively in the global marketplace by integrating the management, marketing, finance, law, and economic functional areas in a global context. Supported by a community of globally-minded students and a hands-on curriculum that allows you to pursue a degree or a second major to supplement your education, the Global Business major prepares you to soar as a leader in the global marketplace.

Engagement Activities Prepare You for the International Stage

International Business students are required to complete at least two of five focused supplemental activities:

  • Internship in global business
  • Demonstrate competency in a foreign language
  • International Economic Development or International Studies minor
  • Approved study abroad program
  • Approved SU/Albers Summer Abroad course

Living Our Mission On Campus and Beyond

MotMot Coffee is an award-winning student-created social enterprise that is run from the campus of Seattle University. MotMot is ethically sourced Nicaraguan coffee. Students hired to the project gain unparalleled experience in global business and ethical company management. MotMot takes a student's skills out of the classroom and into the real world by providing experiential learning in developing countries, all the while encouraging other Seattle University students to become ethical consumers. MotMot took second place in the Harriet Stephenson Business Plan Competition in 2017 and was a semi-finalist in the Social Venture Partners 2017 competition. In 2018, MotMot Coffee was awarded the ASIANetwork’s Freeman Foundation Student-Faculty Fellowship.
