You’ll do real, meaningful work with these Seattle-based companies as part of your coursework. In your capstone course, you’ll plan and execute an actual project for a Seattle-based industry partner, which can lead to career-changing opportunities even before graduation.

In our master’s in business analytics, you’ll be challenged to analyze and solve problems through challenging, leading-edge courses such as Communicating and Visualizing Data, Mathematical Models for Decision-Making, Data Mining for Business Intelligence, and Programming for Business Analytics.

You’ll also develop the critical ability to effectively communicate your findings and recommend courses of action to senior management.

On successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Identify and describe complex business problems in terms of analytical models. 
  • Apply appropriate analytical methods to find solutions to business problems that achieve stated objectives.
  • Translate results of business analytic projects into effective courses of action.
  • Demonstrate ethical decision-making in structured or unstructured and ambiguous situations.
  • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences in speech, in writing, and graphically.
  • Exhibit effective collaboration and leadership skills.

As an MSBA student, you can earn two graduate degrees in less time than it would take to complete each degree separately. Consider adding a degree in the following:

This program is approved by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to fall within the definition of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

If you are an F-1 nonimmigrant student who has completed 12 months of post-completion Optional Practical Training, receiving a degree in a DHS-approved STEM program means you are eligible for a 24-month OPT extension.
