Personal Bio

Geneva (“Eva”) Sedgwick has more than 20 years of experience working in higher education as a faculty member and in administrative leadership. Her research interests focus on human rights as they arise in technology/AI, employee relations, consumer protection and women’s wellness. Professor Sedgwick has been recognized nationally for her innovative teaching. She has designed online courses in law and ethics in business analytics for both Seattle University and for Microsoft on its EDx (now LinkedIn Learning) platform.  She has also been recognized for her scholarly work in the areas of employee privacy law and social entrepreneurship and is published in such journals as the Stanford Technology Law Review and the American Business Law Journal.

Professor Sedgwick has served in positions of leadership at Seattle University. As the Director of University Summer Programs at Seattle University (2017-2020) she was responsible for undergraduate summer enrollment and pre-collegial immersions, including an emerging transition program for students from under-represented communities. Currently Professor Sedgwick is the Director of the Albers MBA in Sport and Entertainment Management.

Professor Sedgwick has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Boston College; a JD from Villanova University School of Law; and an LL.M in International Law from New York University School of Law.
