Personal Bio

Madhu T. Rao is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Operations, as well as an associate professor of Information Systems in the Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University. Dr. Rao is an expert in areas of global IT management and the control and coordination of dispersed teams. His research has been published in widely-used textbooks as well as in respected academic journals such as the Journal of Management Information Systems, the Journal of Global Information Technology Management, Information Systems Management, Small Group Research, and the Academy for Educational Leadership Journal. Dr. Rao has served as an expert commentator for both The Seattle Times as well as public television in areas related to global offshoring. His current research relates to leadership and knowledge management in global virtual teams. His teaching areas primarily focus on the management of information technology. Dr. Rao teaches at the undergraduate, graduate, and Executive-MBA levels and was named the Albers Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year in 2009 and 2015.
