Be The Guide You Needed. Make a Real Difference.

MentorSU pairs early-career Seattle-area professionals with two Seattle University sophomores for a November - May mentorship experience built around real conversation and purposeful career guidance. It's a chance to be the person you wish you'd had at 19.

What mentors do:

• Attend three group events with your mentees — Kickoff in November, a midyear event in January, and a closing celebration in May.
• Meet one-on-one with each mentee once per quarter.
• Follow guided topics and activities we provide for every meeting. You show up and be yourself.

The time commitment:

• Approximately 14 hours total between September and May — less than two hours a month.
• Includes onboarding, three group events, six one-on-one meetings, and brief surveys.

What mentors gain:

• Connection to Seattle University and a community of like-minded professionals.
• A chance to reflect on your own career path and what you've learned along the way.
• Optional peer support through quarterly Zoom sessions with fellow mentors and a monthly newsletter.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for people who are:

  • Early-career professionals (especially those who graduated from undergrad within the past 7 years) eager to share what they've learned and ready to listen and support.
  • People who remember what it felt like to be figuring it all out, and want to listen and provide a sounding board for their mentees.
  • SU alumni are especially encouraged, but any Seattle-area professional with a passion for mentorship is welcome.
