Learning Outcomes

Seattle University undergraduate African and African American Studies students should be able to: 

  • Understand and appreciate the history of lack experience in different parts of the world.     
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to black experience in a variety of countries.
  • Compare and contrast black experience in different countries.             
  • Articulate an understanding of literature that includes the contributions of peoples of African descent.                     
  • Analyze a problem from the perspectives of peoples of African descent.
